To signal the beginning
of the reception, the bride and groom dance their first dance, as
their joyful parents look on. The timeless quality of Black and
White film intensified the mood of the subjects.

Once the bride and groom finished their
first dance, we captured their parents joining in, using a two-photograph
layout per page. Cropping the square photo to a rectangle
enlarged the subjects, and removed distracting background elements.
Cropping is often a useful design tool.

Slanting the camera
increased the sense of drama in this dance scene, lending a dynamic
energy that shows the ebullience of the guests in the room.

Small sequential shots, placed in
an interesting manner on these album pages, effectively capture
the bride and groom as they cut their wedding cake, and feed each
other the first bites. Multiple images help a viewer re-create
an experience by showing the sequence of actions.
